Need Motherboard and CPU Help

I recently bought a AsRock B360 Pro 4 Mobo. After purchasing I started looking at which Intel core I should go with, I decided on the i5 8500. After deciding on the i5 8500 I started looking at AMD (Just to kill time). I came to the conclusion that the Ryzen 5 2600 was a much better deal. My only problem is I've already bought (And installed) the AsRock board. I just need an opinion, should I sell the AsRock board and buy an AMD board? Or should I just stick with Intel? My goal is to get this as cheap as possible with the most performance.

If needed my other parts are:
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb (2x8)
Nvidia EVGA GTX 1050TI FTW Graphics card
Cryorig H7 Cooler
EVGA BQ500W Semi Modular Power Supply

Any replies are appreciated. Thanks!

Unless the price is really close the 8400 is usually a better deal than the 8500, performance is almost the same.

Both the Ryzen 5 2600 and i5 8400 are very good choices and you are unlikely to really notice or regret which one you are using so because you already have the board I'd just buy an i5 and stop worrying about it personally.

I only chose the 8500 cause it was just $5 more. But I think the price dropped on the 8400. I suppose I'll just stick with the original board and buy the 8400 instead. I think the only reason I kept using intel was because I was familiar with them. But after looking closer it seems you get more for your money from AMD
Another question, will the next gen Intel chips fit lga1151? And if so should I wait and buy a 9400?
