Hey guys, I'm planning on building a PC for pro-art creation. For now I will be using it for viz dev(concept art) mainly for photoshop, clipstudio sketchbook. I am also planning to use it for 3d rendering in the future e.g zbrush, marvelous designer blender.

1. B450 - which brand is the best mobo for 2700? Why? If not what do you recommend?

2. AMD Ryzen 7 2700

3. ICHILL GEFORCE GTX 1060 6GB 9GBPS X3 V2

4. For ram I am planning to get Trident Z RGB (For AMD) 32gb

Here's what I already have:
5. WD Green 120gb SSD
6. WD BLUE 1TB HDD
7. Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G RGB 650W Gold
7. Corsair Crystal 460X RGB Case

What I know is when it comes to VRM temps on various B450 board. They say that B450 Tomahawk was, by far, the best. It seems like the roles reversed this time around.

Here's my reference for cpu

and ram compatibility for ryzen

Feel free to share your thoughts! Thank you!

Well the pro carbon is about the most expenSive b450 out there & undoubtedly top 3.

& yeah those reviews pretty much coincide with my opinion aswell.

Sub $100 the asrocks have the best power delivery & vrm setups, simple as that.

Re -ram ??

Really only you know your productivity use.

Out of those only Photoshop is really capable of using more than 16gb ram , & then that's only going to happen with 10 layer+ massive raw files.

Its kind of a deficiency of the platform that 4 ranks of ram (be it 4x8 or 2x16) tends to limit stable speed to 2666mhz.

If your use doesn't regularly exceed 12-14gb then having 32gb is essentially a waste of expenses.
It depends on how much you have to spend.

Steer clear of low budget asus & gigabyte boards , they seem to have barely adequate vrm setups from what I've seen.

I'll say now with 32gb ram you will struggle,to get speeds above 2666mhz on anything but the best x470 boards - it's not a real deal breaker but be aware.

The best cheap boards?

Msi b450 gaming plus
Asrock b450 pro 4

Next price tier

Msi b450 tomahawk
Asrock b450 gaming k4

I'd have a stronger inclination towards The Asrocks myself.

Thank you for your recommendation. Let's say I'm gonna go with MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC. Should I sacrifice ram frequency over capacity? For ryzen 3200MHz 16gb vs 2400MHz 32gb.

Do you recommend Asrocks based on your experience? Lifespan?
