Faulty PSU, Mobo or..?

Hello

So I was having trouble playing games on my PC as they kept freezing and I'd get the odd BSoD. I did some troubleshooting and google-fu and it leaned towards a shot HD. It was old so I bit the bullet and bought a new one. That one died within 3 months. So I returned it and bought another but different brand. This one seems happy but I kept getting random BSoD's.

I decided to check the RAM. Memtest86 detected one stick (8G of 16G) was faulty so I took that one out. So far so good.

Then it started happening again so some google-fu suggested the PSU could be going and try swap the rails the disk is on. Seemed better with no BSoD.

So I fired up Skyrim SE and got to play for 20 mins then BSoD with 0xc0000022 code. I did some tests after scouring the web and they reported no issues

After trying multiple things I tried unplugging my second monitor and firing up Skyrim again and it runs perfect.

What could be wrong here? All my temps are good. New HD, tried newer stick of RAM, PSU is 4 years old, GFX card 2 years old and not often under heavy load and nothing on my machine is overclocked.

Any ideas, anyone? Would I be right in saying the PSU needs replacing?

Also I read your attchemnt file again, I saw you did disable a lot of windows services. That may cause the 0xc0000022 error too, may try follow the linker to see which one is safe to disable, and try reset them. https://www.digitalcitizen.life/which-windows-services-are-safe-disable-when

For the RAM setting, may try manully to set to 10-10-10-29 or 10-10-10-30, instead the 10-10-10-27.

The BIOS you had is the F9 version, may update to the Beta BIOS, either F10f or F11a. which will support secure boot option and improve PCI Express x16 slot compatibility. But if you feel comfortable to do it, otherwise may forget about it. https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/GA-Z77-DS3H-rev-10#support-dl-bios

What PSU did you have?

How many add-on device did you use? I saw almost each pcie slot ( x1, x8, x16) has the device on it. Try remove them to test the PC, because sometime the add-on device may cause the problem, if they do not have the right driver.

PSU - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4UB20W9920

Very strange. I haven't disabled any services myself. I did have a trojan attack that win defender caught a little while after I installed w10. Could that have disabled them? It was from a crack for an old VST that is discontinued.

What do you mean by "add on device"? I only have one PCIE card plugged into the x16 slot. The rest are empty.

Purchased a new PSU (a good one this time) and going to see how that along with a fresh install of windows does.

Many thanks for your help, cin19
