AMD or INTEL

I'm gonna use my PC for VFX and Gaming. I'm so confused to pick a processor. I have intel i7-8700k as my choice, but when i dig deeper "AMD" is also quite good, Can anyone tell me which one is good "Intel i7-8700k" or any other intel alternatives in "AMD" (in i7-8700k price range)??

How much are you looking to shell on your system? What sort of apps are you going to work with? Off the top of my head without taking any limitations into consideration, I'd ask you to get a ThreadRipper CPU or the Ryzen 7. Might want to follow the stylizing of your thread like this one. Your proposed build should help us find any mistakes in your intentions.

I NEED TO BUILD A GOOD PC UNDER 1,35,000

I USE MY PC FOR VISUAL EFFECTS AND GAMING

I'm not a pro in vfx, I'm trying to learn some courses and I usually play games alot

My configuration is

Processor: Intel i7-8700k
Motherboard: Asus Prime Z370A
Graphics Card: ZOTAC 1060 AMP EDITION 6GB (ICESTORM COOLING)
Cabinet: Cooler master Box Lite 5
SSD- 240gb SSD Plus Sandisk
HDD- Seagate 2tb barracuda
Ram- Corsair 16Gig
PSU- EVGA 650

I'm so confused with my specifications

The master Box Lite 5 is bad for airflow and heatware. I'd suggest that you pick a case that has top ventilation and a bottom PSU mounting location. If you're looking at a ram kit, pick out a dual channel DDR4-3200MHz ram kit. Per my previous post, stylize your post and we'll come around to help you tailor a balanced build.

Actually I'm from india, so my proposed budget rate is 1,30,000 rupees.
The threadripper almost cost around 85,000 which is highly above my budget. I'm going to work with "After effects", "Blender", "Davinci resolve", "Dolby", "Premiere Pro".
