So this was my first build 3 months ago and I bought top notch parts 8700k and gtx 1080 ti but I skimped on the HDD with a $30 3.5 7200 rpm one. At the time I thought it would be the same as ssd except just take a little longer to load my games. Boy was I wrong. Every time I try moving a tab, even just one click will make it say "not responding" on the top. Once, Steam took five minutes to load. Sometimes it doesn't load at all.
SO sorry for the rant but now my question is can I simply remove the HDD and install SSD m.2 sata iii and install windows as usual like when I first got the parts brand new? Or do I have to clear some settings before that in the bios or do something else first?
