PC powers on for a second then cuts off.

I recently moved house to discover my PC doesn't boot anymore it gets a tiny burst of power (from when the power pins are shorted to complete the circuit) and then shuts off.

This only happens after letting the GPU lights die off and having turned the power switch off (when the mono is fully drained of power). The rest of the time I get nothing.

I've reinserted RAM, swapped bays for the RAM, taken my GPU out to use the integrated one, checked the power is plugged in properly and taken the CMOS battery out for 30 seconds. It still does it.

This means it could be a power supply or mobo issue but I don't know much about them, I assume if I have the power plugged in and the GPU lights are on then that means the PSU must be working to give them power?

Additionally I don't have a light on my motherboard (it didn't come with one, shame)

My PC is really work critical, was wondering if any of you guys could help me out. Cheers.

I would say PSU before motherboard. Just because a device lights up doesn't mean the PSU is working 100% properly. It might have enough power to push to the low power components but when you push the switch it requires a bigger jolt to start everything up and might not be pushing enough.

I suggest trying a test PSU if you have or can find one.
