So, we have been having some internet issues at our house starting with connection drops. Then during a storm it happened again, but this time the internet wasn't coming back on. I tried resetting router, but nothing happened and the lights were stuck on red. Our internet is through xfinity which they give us a modem/router, but we uses our own router and we were bridging it. That is the router that ended up having all red lights. So, I unplugged everything from that router and uses the ISP and unbridged it. I was still not getting a reliable connection. Keep in mind I have talked to my ISP about these issuse and I do have a technician coming to take a look at wires. This is where the other problem comes in. So, I went to download an 12gb update and i noticed my download speed was drastically lower than usual. We pay for 150Mbps and I was downloading at 1.2Mbs and would go as low as kbs. I checked my ethernet status and it said my speed was 10Mbps. I have another computer and I checked the ethernet status on that one and it says it's speed is 100Mbps. How can this be? Here is a list of things I have done to change this.

1. Uninstalled and reinstalled driver.
2. In config I changed it from auto negotiate to 100Mpbs full duplex.
3. I have tried all ports on modem/router.
4. Used the same wire the other pc is using and that one, regardless, of port or wire would still get 100Mbs.
5. Checked router config and everything matches up.
6. I have disabled ethernet and enabled.
7. I did also update drivers.

This issue did not occur until after the router we use to use stopped working and now that im using the ISP router I am having this issue, but the other pc does not. I have an ASUS H110-plus motherboard.

****UPDATE: New network adapter fixed my problem. This thread is solved!

** I've come to the conclusion that my network adapter on the motherboard failed on me. I'm just going to have to purchase a new one. So, if anyone else is having this issue and you have tried everything. Chances are the hardware failed. Luckily, if you have a extra pci adapter in your pc, which, I do. They're pretty cheap $12 on amazon!
