Needing some upgrade advice

Hi,

I've just bought a fairly cheap mini/micro desktop pc, it's come with reasonable specs and will do for working on with how it is now. However i'm looking for some advice as to what I can and can't really upgrade on it, mainly due to it's size.

It's a Dell Optiplex 9010, with 8GB elpida ram (4x2gb), i7-3770 @ 3.40Ghz and a Nvidia GT 710 2GB (model without the fan).

I've read that Dell sometimes limit the power to the PCI-e slots, and i'm not sure what PSU it has, it's a standard one though.

Any thoughts on a reasonably priced GPU I could replace it with, and what the PSU would take?

Thanks in advance

Well you should check what PSU you have as it's hard to guess with so little info

yes I've heard they limit some slots to 30W which would allow you to install no more than a GT 1030, not bad, but really dissappointing for an i7

hopefully if you go with a 1050 ti or 1060 with an auxiliar power connector, assuming they make proper use of the 6 pin plug you should get around that problem

if not, a decent power supply costs around $20-25, good PSUs start at $45 in the US

The PSU says max output 240W, yes it's SFF. I've included a (not very good)photo of it.

Can't seem to add a photo for some reason?

something with DC-DC power conversion and build quality that doesn't suck should do the job

like EVGA BR, GD, corsair CX gray or cooler masterwatt series could handle a 1080 ti without a problem

(although for a 1080 ti I'd recommend something on the 45+ price range)
