Serious PC malfunction please help

So i was halfway through playing a video game when my screen suddenly went funny into a blue white and red squared patter flickering rapidly this carries on until i restart my PC using the button on the front and also makes me quit out of the majority of the games i am halfway through making me extremely angry to put it politely
My PC specs are
Pentium G4560
Gigabyte B250M-D2V
XFX RX 470
WD Blue 1TB Hard Drive (has had a few fresh windows installs due to corrupting a few times)
I will provide a picture of the screen once i figure out how to do so

It only happens once im a decent way through a gaming stint so maybe in the first hour i would get a crash a few times but as i get further it woud become more concerning looking eg white flickering screen but never when booting or light workload

It averages at around 70 degrees Celsius under a few minutes of 100 percent load so it is very possible that it is the graphics card over heating as it does only have a single fan cooling plate on it.
