Lost partition on a hard drive.

The mother board of an old PC died. The partitioned hard drive was still okay. The hard drive had a "C: Windows" and a "D: Data" partition. I hooked it into a new PC and only the D: part shows up. I looked in Diskmgmt. It is also not there. I even hooked it direct into the SATA connection of the main drive and the other partition still does not show.

Solution

3TB HDD, with 1 partition, currently 70% full. And the partition labeled "Data".
Still not seeing any remnants of an original C partition.

Thanks for the idea, but the drive does not show up at all anywhere including "diskmgmt". I assigned the one part of the partition that I can see another letter to see if that would cause the PC to see the other, but nothing happened. I ran "AOMEI Partition Assistant" "Partition Recovery" and it also did not find anything. I am beginning to think I am going crazy. I even opened up the broken PC again to see if there is another drive in there somewhere. There is not.

The former "D" drive does not have a windows folder. That was on the former "C". The drive is a "Seagate Barracuda 3000GB SATA". Explorer says 2.72 GB capacity with 1.91 full for the "I" drive (former D). I have looked in all the folders to see if the "old C drive" is hidden somewhere, but to no avail. The old "C" partition was much smaller than the "D". I do not remember how big it was, but somewhere between 100 and 500 GB. Thanks for the continued ideas!
