So I was wondering if my GPU which has a 1.4 display port will support a 1.2 display port monitor

Monitor: https://www.asus.com/ae-en/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-SWIFT-PG248Q/specifications/ and will the included display port cable support my GPU or would I need to buy another cable?
And will I be able to play at 1080p 144hz?
