I am planning to build a pc soon and switch to ryzen. I will not be OCing but im thinking about the 2600 because of the price and cooler. I just want to take advantage of my 144hz monitor. Also I want to be able to play games at ultra or high and watch a 1080p stream on twitch at the same time.
Will a 2600 with a gtx 1070ti take advantage on 144hz monitor

It will be a good pairing. A 2600x gives a better stock cooler, but the 2600 will do just fine.

It is up to you. Overclocking will squeeze out some extra performance and is simple enough to follow if you find the guide. I do not OC, but performance has always been adequate.
