EVGA GTX 1070 SC Bakcplate Removal

As the titles says, I'm cleaning my filthy GTX 1070 SC and the backplate has the extra pads added to the underside and they apparently seem to be stuck. I've applied more force than should be necessary and the backplate just bends out at the front and back. It feels like I would break something on the PCB if I pulled harder.

Should I stick it in the oven for a few minutes to heat/loosen it up? I've never done that.

*P.S. (It's been mining nearly 24/7 the past 7-8 months.)

Solution
This question is solved. I contacted EVGA with this picture and my question and they said I do not need to replace the thermal pads.

Here is what they said:

"Hello,

Thank you for contacting the EVGA Customer Service Team. No you shouldn't need to replace the thermal pads this is normal when it comes to thermal bleed. As of now we do not offer any thermal pads for sell.

Regards
EVGA,
"
Found it. A screw was hiding behind a sticker. Geez. It almost looks like EVGA doesn't want me to remove the backplate as if it would void the warranty. But I've read their warranty policy and they shouldn't care.
