Hello, I have am MSI Gap72 7RDX Leopard
This happened last month or the month before and I think it affected my laptops fan...
A while back I noticed that my fan when it was on the cooling boost setting was making a wierd noise aside from the noise it ussually makes.
I have not taken it appart as I would probably just destroy the notebook...the noise went away and I thought it would be okay. Now, I've noticed that when I enter the cool boost mode when I am playing a game or watching videos the fans rpm for tge cpu seems to be slower than before. When I entered cooling boost it I noticed the com deminished by about 500 but now when it is on auto then a switch to cooling boost the fan mostly goes to 2000-2300 I'm lucky if it even reaches 2500 at all.
GPU fan seems to be normal and the speed for it remained the same at 5500-5700 when cooling boost is on, and that is the speed the CPU fan used to be at.
On normal the fan for the cpu wpuld ussually be like 2500... So now not sure what to do...tried blowing air using conoressed air, without opening the laptop. Waranty expired already so I can't do much. Any suggestions or info before I take it to the shop and probably cost me a few hundred to fix?
