So when i only bought my PC i used to run games like GTA V 150+ FPS on ultra, now i run GTA V 60 fps on low, i used to run fortnite 220+ fps, now 100.
You get the point. Here are my specs:

Processor: i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20 GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB
System type: 64-bit Operation System, x64-based processor (WINDOWS 10)
DirectX Version: DirectX 12
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Approx. Total memory: 6079
Display memory (vram): 2007
Shared Memory: 4072

Things i tried:
Factory Resetting my computer, it only helped a for while then it became bad.
Tried deleting %temp% folder files.
Tried uninstalling programs i don't use
Scanning for viruses, there were none.
Cleaning the inside of my computer.

The computer is exactly 1 or 2 years old.

Solution

hwinfo64 is a program you can download to monitor your computer. it reads various sensors and display the numbers. you can leave it in the background while you play games and then read the numbers afterwards.

if you have steam, you can enable steam overlay to see your gpu/cpu %utilization and temperatures. that will you an idea how much of your computer is at work during game play.

How do i benchmark exactly? what program should i use?

I'm afraid you were never running GTA 5 on Ultra (even at 1080p) at 150+ with a 750Ti. Look below:

gta-v-bench-1080-u.jpg

My 980 won't even get 150+ at 1080p Ultra, it doesn't even average 90FPS. The framerates you are getting look about right. Your card only has 2GB of VRAM, it's not really built to run an modern games at Ultra.

Alright so probably my resolution was more low but what does it have to do with the issue im having right now? I asked why i used run games really fast and now im running them with low fps and spike lags.

If games start running slower than they used to, the most obvious culprit is overheating. CPUs and GPUs will throttle when they get too hot. GPUs scale their clockspeeds as temperatures go up, whereas a CPU has a hard limit that it hits before it throttles.

Since you didn't say anything about general desktop performance, I would focus on your graphics card. Give it a thorough cleaning. It might help to take the card right out of your system to do this. If you are using compressed air to remove dust from the heatsink, don't blast directly into the fan for extended periods as this can lead to fan bearing damage from spinning too fast. Hit the heatsink with blasts of compressed air from every direction to dislodge all the dust. It can be tricky getting it all if the card has a fan shroud as you might not be able to see everything.

Once you've done this, then give it a shot see if your framerates come up. I had a very similar issue years ago with a 2900XT. I was very diligent with keeping it clean, or so I thought. But I was having issues. Needless to say when I finally figured out why my temps weren't coming back to "like new", my performance came right back. Without a long explanation, essentially I had a huge wad of dust piled up on the side of the heatsink that the fan blew air through(blower style HSF) and because of the shroud I couldn't see it.

I try various resolutions. same fps for every resolution, Highest resolution i can have in my pc is 1920 x 1080 But i'm using 1440 x 1080 most of the time.

Well furmark only benches GPU and HWMonitor you only snapped the CPU temps.

Run Furmark and show GPU temps and run CPUz and show your CPU temps.

Make sure temps are while the benchmarks are running. Not idle.

I don't get it, screenshot or video? i did run the stress test and the CPU-Z did run and it wasnt idle/

Just a screenshot is fine. I dont need to see the benchmark, just the HWMonitor temps while the benchmark is running.

The HWMonitor screenshoot you took wasn't long enough. It did not include the GPU Temps. Only CPU and Mobo. Scroll down and take a screenshot of the GPU temps.
