ATX Motherboard Misery

I'm designing a new rig to replace my Intel DZ68BC based system, which has been trouble-free for many years.

Through the years in many builds I have used ASUS, Intel and Gigabyte motherboards with great success, performance and reliability.

I have been currently pulling my hair out trying to find a motherboard for 8th gen Intel chips. It seriously seems as if the old go-to manufacturers have gone downhill in quality and support.

Intel is not making motherboards anymore, I'd rather not buy ASUS or Gigabyte anymore - and through experience, I won't buy MSI, Biostar, ASRock, or even EVGA motherboards.

The closest I got was looking at Gigabyte's Gaming motherboards, but I can't buy a motherboard that has known VRM issues, the company is aware of its short comings.

Unfortunately, almost everything in creation has gone to hell in terms of quality, QC, and support. Thanks to planned obsolescence, I'm faced with buying and re-buying products that are ticking timebombs.

My current system still performs like a workhorse, using it for my DAWs, video editing, and way too many tabs of Firefox open, in addition to other multiple instances of software.

I would really appreciate some input as to what the most reliable? ATX motherboards are for 8th gen CPUs.

Thank you
