Does anyone know if its safe to use a 1 to 3 way fan header adapter on a ASUS STRIX B350-F mobo? case fans are Coolermaster air balance RGB i want them all to run off 1 port due to adding more fans

Solution
Most fan headers can do a max 1Amp, and typically consumer fans are ~0.25A each.

So, in theory a 3 way fan splitter *should* be fine, but you'd need to verify your board and fans specifically.

*EDIT*
Looks like those fans are 0.45A

So, assuming your board can do the "norm", I don't think you can/should be running more than 2 from a given header.

I'd be a bit cautious with adding multiple rgb fans to a single header. Amperage may vary with each motherboard. I ran into the same problem with a form factor mobo that had just 2 fan headers. The most comfortable solution was to get a fan controller.

New mobos often have 2.0amp headers(older ones had 1.0amp, I had to look this up myself, my old z87 has 1.0amp per, but a new z370 that I was looking at had 2.0amps per). So long as you're not using 5000rpm Delta monsters, you're probably safe using a 3 way splitter and most certainly using a 2 way splitter. When figuring out the amperage on each header, I'd add a touch to the 2x or 3x amount, just to be safe(considering that nothing is 100% efficient, right?).
