I'm not an expert on hardware, but I've always been computer savvy and built my own pc using pcpartpicker.com. That build has lasted 6 years, but 3 months ago I needed to replace the hdd (ran out of space). I bought a new hdd on may 26th, and it worked fine for almost 2 months. Then I started getting blue screen type crashes, which led me to a bunch of diagnostics and trouble shooting.
Along the way I've reinstalled windows 10 3 times, removed all 4 sticks of RAM (1 at a time) and pc still crashes, swapped out the power supply with a spare, booted up the old smaller hdd (no problems), I've run chkdsk /r /f many times (this usually gives me a couple days with no problems), and tried a couple of different boot repair tools. However, nearly every day I am still getting a blue screen error, usually IO exception, or critical process died.
I am pretty much dead certain this hdd is at fault. I'm not asking you guys to help me diagnose the hdd... my question is in the title. Since the return policy has ended, is there anything else I can do? Perhaps a manufacturers warranty or something?
