Hello

My specs are:

Motherboard: ASRock Z370 Extreme4
CPU: I7-8700K
GPU: EVGA GTX 980 4GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3200MHz
PSU: Corsair RM850 Plus 80 Gold
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit.
Storage: Samsung SSD 970 500GB M.2 (OS is installed on this). Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5'' HDD and a Crucial M500 SSD 2.5" 240GB.

Recently my PC has started to shut itself down randomly. I'm not doing anything special or anything at all when this happens.

I now managed to fix this like 40 minutes ago by removing the cpu and putting it back in again but i build this pc on august 1 and it ran flawless a full week and then now a full week nearly with just issues from time to time, but the pc just shuts itself down recently. Any idea what it can be? I'm rushing this post since it can shut down any moment.

This is hwmonitor data if anything is odd here: https://1drv.ms/t/s!Av0v4dUc625OkFcvfIlqHDC6v6Df

Did you try to use your system without a CPU cooler and even booted into windows? It's generally not advised to do that since you may damage the CPU or motherboard. Also what CPU cooler are you using? Did you follow all the installation instructions? Did you install a new back plate. Maybe the CPU cooler is sorting something or you may have damaged a surface component on your motherboard (coil, capacitor, resistor etc). When it dies are you doing something specifically, perhaps running a game? From what I can tell, it's probably the motherboard, its either damaged or defective so after finishing all your troubleshooting efforts you should try to RMA it. Having said that you need to test your system with another PSU just in case your PSU...
In you case, it's probably the PSU, motherboard or GPU. You have to:

1) Test your system with another PSU,
2) Test your system with another GPU, or remove the GPU and only use the internal Intel iGPU for graphics. You could also try to test the GPU in another PC system but that could take a lot of time.
3) Testing the motherboard is more difficult since you don't have another spare compatible motherboard but if all the other parts are fine then it's probably the motherboard responsible for this issue.

Finally since this is a new build, are you sure that you didn't take any mistake during the installation/setup of your system? If you aren't very experienced (or not too careful), you can easily make a mistake and sort (or damage) something during the installation process. So you have to start from the beginning and check every step you made, check all the cable connections and try to find possible errors/mistakes. If you haven't a lot of experience you take your system to a repair/service shop or find a computer technician. Good luck.

EDIT. The temps and voltages, that HWMonitor reported seem fine. However recheck the CPU/GPU cooling fans and make sure that they are working properly. Also try to clear the CMOS just in case you are facing a BIOS bug.

I have tried removing the gpu and tried the igpu, same issue happens.

When I had the gpu plugged out, the cpu cooler and the ram memory's it started but of course no picture since no ram. I tested each ram in each slot and nothing changed.

Then I plugged in one ram stick after some time and then it worked, managed to launch into Windows.

I shutted it down and plugged second in, worked.

Shutted it down again, plugged in the cpu cooler, same issue occurs and it died.

Removed one if the cpu cooler fans. Worked and loaded into Windows.

Ran for 20 minutes, then died.

That's how far I've gotten today.

I would like to point out that I used the same PSU in my previous build without a problem. Also I've managed to get the pc running and all when I finished building it, no issues. So from time to time I can get the pc to boot properly, I can get into Windows and do what ever I like, but then it just dies randomly.

Having said that you need to test your system with another PSU just in case your PSU is failing. The fact that it worked with your old system doesn't tell the whole story. Maybe the new motherboard/CPU combo is causing one of the voltage rails to go out of spec thus triggering a protection mechanism that shuts down the system. You have to check your PSU. Good luck and report back with the results. Your case is very interesting.
