I have a 2TB Seagate external HDD which doesn't show in Explorer or Disk Management but shows in the Device Manager. I've tried using Seatools to diagnose the HDD but it freezes on the "USB:Scanning for supported drives" part. I also tested the HDD on different PCs, swapped USB cables but still no joy. What should I do?
Additional info:
• I was installing something from the external HDD but I figured it's taking too long so I canceled it. Decided to copy the software from it to my local disk instead but it took to long so I also canceled it, only this time I got stuck on "Canceling" in which I grew impatient and unplugged it without safely removing it. Plugged it again and now I have this problem.
• External HDD won't safely remove
• Windows won't fully shutdown unless I unplug it
I know this is my fault (;_
but is it still my data/drive still salvageable?
