Will the Gigabyte 970a UD3P be enough for a gtx 1060?

Hey guys. A friend of mine bought a gtx 1060 a couple days ago and he is wondering if his motherboard(Gigabyte 970a UD3P) will be enough for that card. Thanks in advance.

The motherboard is not a problem however it does only support AM3+ cpu’s which by modern standards even the higher end FX8xxx’s are weak. I expect the cpu will limit performance in modern cpu heavy games.
