Hello everyone i have a problem
I have i3 7100,gtx1050ti and 8 gb(2x4gb) of ram on 2400mhz
I play fortnite on: 3D Resolution 100% ,View distance epic, shadows off, anti aliasing high, and the other settings are on low, motion blur off and i lock the fps on 144 and i have 144 fps but it drops to 100-120-130 then it gets back to 144 and it varies like that
But my friend with same specs same settings has 144 fps constantlty, also my friend with weaker pc with rx 550 and ryzen 3 1300x has the same settings and he also has 144 fps constantly
If someone can help me because i know that my pc can do more than that.
Thanks in advance

What psu do you have?
Also I would try to adjust settings and see what it takes to keep you above the 144hz mark. If it doesn’t take much, that may be all you can do, if everything else checks out. If you have some kind of benchmarking program you can compare your score to see if there is a big drop in your score compared to others.

Windows 7 shouldn’t give you any trouble, once microsoft stops supporting it, that may change.
Check task manager to see if there is a backround program eating up your ram.
The wattage of your psu is fine, but if it is low quality, it could be feeding your components unreliable power that could falter when things ramp up.

Ctrl+alt+delete
Select task manager
Hit the ram tab to see whats the biggest ram hog. Anything using a large portion of any of your resources would be worth investigating tho.
