Graphics card underperforming?

So i'm using a GTX 970 at the moment and ive watched videos of people running games like rust on max settings with around 80 fps. But, in my case i can't run the game at the "good" graphics setting idk what's going on. And i've also wanted to OC it but idk how if anyone could help me out or link a video i would appreciate it.

Well, make sure your CPU is running well. I also have a 4790K, and it's the fastest one here on Tom's Hardware (according to the CPU benchmark charts I maintain here). With a good OC the 4790K can even outperform a 5Ghz 7700K.

The 970 is about the same performance as a 1060, you shouldn't be having any issues at 1080p. Make sure you update your drivers and run a virus scan to make sure that malware isn't mining in the background. I know some...

i have an i7-4790K i dont think the cpu is an issue
