Registering warranty within 30 days. Does it matter?

So I might need to RMA my gpu but it has passed the 1 year warranty our local shop can provide. But it says that it has warranty for 4 years but it needs online registration. My warranty has passed on July 02, 2018. Could I still receive support from Gigabyte/Aorus? for this GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Edition?

Maybe, considering that you did the extended warranty thing you'd be able to. Contact them and find out.

Oh that's the problem. I haven't registered it online and I have read you may only do so within 30 days after purchase. Which was my bad.
