Move Windows to ssd

Solution

Using an SSD is much more than just reduced boot time. All the other applications benefit, if they are installed on the SSD.
A 120GB drive will feel quite cramped before long.

Just because it is an "SSD" doesn't mean it is a "good SSD".

In any case, if you do go down that road with a 120GB drive...likely you'll have to do a full OS install. Including all your applications and drivers.

Given a 120G SSD, a clean install is probably your only option.

To 'migrate' to that SSD, you need the actual consumed space on your C drive or partition to be below 85GB or so.
You can't choose "only the OS'.

How much space is currently consumed on your C drive?

However...that SSD. I know you want 'cheap'.
But a 120GB drive in todays world is pretty small. You'll be living with this drive for several years. 120GB as the OS drive will hamper your efforts going forward.
And that particular one? There are much better performers in the SSD world.

I just wanted the ssd so windows would boot quickly and maybe put one or two games on it. My pc is decent, but I don't really play games much so I don't mind games taking a while to load.
