I have a palit gtx 780 superjeteam overclocked to 1250mhz core and +310 memory and I'm wondering how does it compare to a stock gtx 980 or 3gb 1060 because I might upgrade if there is a big performance increase. I mainly game at 1080p but sometimes I play at 4k
Thanks in advance

I would not bother with anything less than a 6gb 1060 if I were in your position. The 3gb 1060 would get you to the next level of performance but considering the price of videocards these days, you're not going to save a lot of money(relatively speaking) by going with the 3gb card. I wouldn't choose a 980 unless you get such a great deal on it you can't pass it up.

New cards are said to coming soon, but they are likely to be higher end than 1060s and probably pricey as well. So I'm not convinced there's much point to waiting IF you need the performance boost now.
The 980 and the 1060 are significantly better than the 780. If I were you I would consider waiting a tad as the rumour mill is really swirling regarding the next gen Nvidia gpus. If you can't wait I'd spend a tad more on a 1060 6gb as it is a stronger card than the 3gb variant (they vary in more ways than just memory)
