A be Quiet Pure Power 10 400 would have been a much better option.

The Corsair VS are meant as a system integrator.
A better quality PSU means every component will last longer, less risk of instability, quieter.

Corsair's website and JonnyGURU (works at Corsair) admit it's marketed as system integrator.

The CORSAIR VS650 is a great choice if you’re building a home or office system with lower power demands, but you still demand the compatibility and reliability that CORSAIR is known for.

OP is most likely from Europe
Corsair VS Series VS650 (2018), 650 Watt voeding
Voeding is Dutch for power supply.

Also, the Straight Power 10 isn't the same as the Pure Power 10. The Straight Power is a little better: more efficient, better fan, better warranty, an extra 12V rail.

similar price.

The Pure Power 10 400 will be more than enough for your current specifications. If you intend to upgrade to a more powerful GPU, a higher wattage PSU may be needed.

I was trying to figure out what "system integrator" means. It's a PSU term I'm not familiar with.

If you intend to upgrade to a more powerful GPU, a higher wattage PSU may be needed.

Or you know, he could buy the 650W now with 52A on the 12V rail and not worry about having to buy another PSU for any upgrades. I know you are going to start complaining about OCP and stuff. Just don't. Please. Let's not confuse an OP today ok?
