Hi there

I recently sold a motherboard to a customer online with a C224 chipset (asus p9d-m) and i received a messasge from the buyer a couple days later stating that he could not get the cooler to mount properly. I asked him what he was using and he said it was the stock cooler from an lga1150 i5.

Now, my issue isnt with the cooler but in fact that possibly the i5 doesnt work with the board. The board is lga1150 too but I cant see anything online that says the C224 chipset will work with anything other than Xeons and low grade consumer pentiums on the 1150 socket.

Can anyone advise?

Thank you

Thanks for your answer, I checked that before but i'm wondering that since some of those xeons correspond almost 1:1 to an LGA1150 i5 why wouldn't it work?
