My gtx 1080 driver stops responding and recovers whenever i run a dx 12 app on startup (3dmark time spy test and bf 1) i updated my drivers, and windowd update is underway, but if the priblem presists, can i rma my card under warrenty?/
My gtx 1080 driver stops responding and recovers whenever i run a dx 12 app on startup (3dmark time spy test and bf 1) i updated my drivers, and windowd update is underway, but if the priblem presists, can i rma my card under warrenty?/
The problem is either due to a bad GPU driver, a failing GPU, a bad Windows update/setting, or bad RAM.
RAM can be verified by using a memory checker (memtest86+ works well enough). GPU driver can be ruled out by using an older/newer version and see if the problem goes away. Windows can be verified by running 'sfc /scannow' from a command prompt when run as an admin.
If all those show no problems, then it's probably time for a RMA.
