Hi and thanks again for the forum. I recently purchased a parts not working HP PC running a IPXS8-DM with no HD or ram.
I put some ram inside but the system just powered up the CPU fan and shut down. It did this in a loop. I noticed the thermal paste was concrete so I somewhat naively went out and purchased another board on the assumption that the board was fried (I'd tried another i3 chip previously with the same result.
However, the new board does exactly the same thing. I've tried different ram in both slots. There are no beeps and no display whatsoever. All of the above has been done out of the case with a case fan attached. I've also tried another cooler.
What am I doing wrong ? I can't find a manual on the website - so I'm at a lose.
