RTX 2080 estimated power consumption?

Alright I'll cut to the chase, do you think that the new "80" series of NVidea gpus will require more than dual 8 pin pcie power cables? that's it, that my question. please leave thoughts as i am pretty terrible with power consumption and electricity in general.

It will almost definitely require less than three 8 pin connectors, yes. Each 8 pin is rated for 150w, and from what I hear it's going to be a 170 - 200 w card, that puts it at 1 8 pin plus the 75w from the board, or, 1 8 pin plus 1 6 pin which will bring it's total power possible to 300w, much higher than it's draw. Until it's released though, it's anyone's guess what it will actually be.
