Slowing Hard Drive

Ok so, recently I've had this problem with my laptop.
Basically, the hard drive keeps going to 100% usage and is slowing down my computer a lot.
And it happens frequently too, like every 10 seconds or so.
There are some times when it kinda has a break and works normally for a few minutes, but then it starts again. It's not a crucial problem to the point where the hard drive can be considered dead, I can still use my laptop normally (although I say that, it's extremely annoying when things slow down a lot for a couple of seconds every 10 seconds-ish).
I've also recently discovered that, by unplugging the power cable, it works just fine in terms of hard drive usage percentage/actual performance. Games used to crash at the start every time, but if I unplug the power, and plug it back in after the game has loaded a bit/passed the loading screen, the game works just fine.
I've tried to search for bad sectors, the first time it detected some, removing about 15-20gb ish, the second time detecting one, but not actually doing anything.
I'd like help with this as soon as possible, thanks.

Solution
Bad sectors don't get removed, they are unreadable sections of your disk that are permanently damaged and completely unusable.
20 sectors should not concern but it could be an issue if there is platter damage.
Also when you start getting bad sectors it doesn't stop, it just multiply...specially if your HDD actuator head offsets.
In the case that bad sectors keep showing up, you should immediately back up your data and replace the drive.

Be aware that when CHKDSK tries to repair bad sectors, data available on that sector might be lost and it is not recoverable.
