Computer using CPU graphics rather than graphics card

Hi

I just built my first computer over the weekend and it was working seamlessly playing games and all the works.

However now my computer is no longer using/detecting? my GPU. I have an r9 290 tri-x. I have done a clean install on the driver I need so I’m confident this is not the issue.

I have noticed that in the control panel > hardware > devices > desktop there is a caution sign next to PCI device and SM bus controller. It says the manufacturer is unknown and the drivers for this device are not installed.

Also when I enter the bios for graphics configuration it says the primary display is cpu graphics. When I try to set it as PCIE or auto and save and restart it will just change back to CPU.

Now this did all happen when I moved my computer and windows wouldnt start for me. When windows wouldnt start I changed two things in the BIOS: Launch CSM (enabled) and turned fast boot off.

I could really use some help and any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated!!!

EDIT: I should add that I was experimenting with using my tv as another monitor before this all happened.. Not sure if that matters

You have the Display plugged into the video ports on the 290 right? And not the Motherboard? If you're getting a display output then it would be using whichever it is plugged in to. It can't use the GPU if plugged into the Motherboard (CPU's Graphics) or vice versa. Hope this helps! :)
