Planning a new system build, here is what I am at so far:

Ryzen 2700x, Asus strix x470-f gaming, and I need 32 GB ram. I chose this one because it seems to have high speeds which I hear is good for ryzen, and leaves room for doubling the RAM which I might have use of in the future. If its better to use 4x8 GB I can do this, it would likely be a long time before upgrading anyways.

However, I have heard of memory issues with certain ryzen 2nd gen motherboards, is 2x16 a reasonable choice?

Solution
Ryzen is Dual channel not Quad channel memory, so to have 2x16 is better if you want to expand in the future.
Ram will be fine, but as always people say certain rams don't always get on, later on. But for me, I very rarely come across this problem. I think more people are problem free, and of course they don't post on a forum they have no problems, because the forum is for people with problems.
