Installing my ssd

So, basically I ordered my ssd a few days ago (Silicon Power SSD M55 240GB M.2 SATA) and I was wondering how I could install it. I already have an HDD with windows 10 on it, but I would like windows 10 to boot on my ssd and all the other programs to stay on the HDD. How do I do that?

1. clean stuff from HDD for data to fit SSD, shrink HDD partition with OS to under 240 GB
2. clone drive
3. set program files to D drive. link above
4. reinstall software.
