When playing a game, fps drops so much my computer freezes for 1-2 seconds, but after that it goes back to normal.

https://www.cnet.com/products/alienware-x51-r2-dt-core-i7-4770-3-4-ghz-8-gb-1-tb-ax51r29300bk/specs/ Those are my specs, it is indeed a prebuilt. Had this for 2 years, but when i'm playing a game like League of Legends, my fps is capped at 120 and i always get 119, legit 1 less than my capped for some reason, and sometimes randomly this will happen. I put it on very low graphics which is horrid looking and it still happens. Background programs are not the problem cuz i looked at task manager usage, have not monitored temps or anything, just wanna know where to start, cuz i'm always at 120 fps, and this happens randomly and it screws my experience. Also, I don't know if this could be a problem, but sometimes my headphones get tangled so when i turned around, my computer fell, this has happened up to 4 times and the 2nd time or so, when i started it up, it had to repair hardware. Tell me where to start to fix this. EDIT: By the way, a few days ago, figured out my ethernet cable was not plugged in but doesn't seem like this fixed it.

Geez dude, the first thing you need to figure out is a different headphone setup if it has tipped your case 4 times. You won't need to worry about 2 second freezes when something breaks.

Like krzyimprt said, it kind of sounds like it is a hard drive issue. If you have a spare hard drive, try running league off of that. If it was a temp issue, then your fps would drop. It wouldn't just have intermittent freezes.

Yo how would i run league and other programs on a diff harddrive? EDIT: What i mean is, I have a removable 1 terabyte toshiba hard drive, and since you think it's a hard drive problem, I want to add it to the new one that is not faulty. So how would I do this for example league? Do I just drag the shortcut into the hard drive? Do i gotta drag in the entire game with it's many gigabytes or what i'm sorry i'm pretty new to this.

Hey dude me back again, lol. Basically i added the games to the hard drive and installed them there, but it's still the same thing? Do I have to get a brand new hard drive inside my computer or does it just matter which one i install it in?
