Will the AMD Radeon RX 470 work in my build?

Hi all, Im wanting to upgrade my graphics card.

My system

i3 6100
8GB Ram
Asus 110M-R Motherboard
AMD Radeon RX 460 (2GB?)

I mostly play games which work well however I just want that extra power without upgrading my entire build. My Graphics card uses the motherboard power meaning I'd have to use the psu but I can only see a 4pin slot hanging out of the brown mesh.

My psu I believe from looking at it behind my case is 550W.

I've heard about the 1050ti but I use a freesync monitor not gsync and aswell i've heard the 470 is much better than the 1050/ti.

Is it overkill in my setup? Will I have to get a new PSU? Graphics cards recommendation

Is this a custom built PC or an OEM system (like Dell, HP ect..). As long as it's a normal sized case any of the AMD cards will fit. I would look at the RX 570. They're finally dropping is price. I saw a 570 for about $180 at Micro Center 2 days ago.

What is the make and model of your PSU? How old is it? In terms of power draw, the X470 is higher. The GTX1050Ti is a power efficient card and if you're gaming on 1080p with medium details, you're going to be fine with the GTX1050Ti.

If your PSU checks out fine, your board will accept the GPU without any issues.

Are you looking to buy a used RX 470? They went out of production about a year ago and was replaced by the RX 570. If you're buying used I would be hesitant to buy it (unless you know the owner personally). The AMD cards were/are hugely popular with miners.
