OK...I have an older subwoffer (push in/spring loaded connection) and newer amp (two black RCA type connectors)...and I give up!! Any ideas?

thx

Solution
Push spring suggests a passive sub (needs amplification).

New Amp with 2 RCA (line level outputs) = this means this amp, like most amp DOES NOT provide amplification for your subwoofer, it expects to be hooked up to a self-powered (sub with built-in amp all to itself) sub.

So if you REALLY want these pieces to work together, you must insert another amplifier in between.
