I dropped my WD hard drive. When I picked it up the top had popped off a little, but I snapped it back on. When I plugged it in, the hard drive showed up but I couldn’t open it and then my computer crashed. After I restarted, the WD app could open and show that the drive was plugged in but it wasn’t showing up in my finder.
The drive is whirring normally and I have a very important project on it that I stupidly didn’t back up.
What are the chances that I can recover it? What should I do?
