as the gpu prices drop ive now decided to buy a new gpu and i saw a list in one of the stores here in our country that shows an rx580 8gb for only $210 but it is a mining oem card (GV-RX580GAMING-8GD-MI) so im wondering if i can use this cards for gaming or are they only for mining purposes?
my country is philippines

Solution

I would compare it to a regular MSI RX580 8GB (like below), and compare the price with the warranty. Then use that to make your decision. I would want that 3 year warranty. What if you have a problem at day 91, with this card you would have a $210 paper weight.

This one is at $250 US.

It should run fine. The product ID of the card you listed links back to a generic RX 580 Windforce card. If a store is listing it as a mining oem card it's possible that they've put a custom BIOS on it for improved mining performance but i doubt that is the case, particularly if the retailer is selling as new & sealed. It should run games fine, even if it has a custom BIOS regardless. Hope this helps! :)

Provided you can find a BIOS for it online, yes.
