I recommend putting it together on here > https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/. It helps everyone make recommendations by seeing prices and being able to edit and share easily!

But from a look at the part list and without prices in mind, the system looks good. Make sure the CX750 is the modern grey label, i recommend a stronger SSD considering the budget, the A400 is nothing very special. Also, see if you can nab some faster RAM in the build (3000-3200 MHz is a good area). Finally, if you plan on overclocking that 8700K, note they're very toasty CPUs and you will want something stronger if you're going to push it fairly high. I recommend looking into the high-end Noctua air coolers or a good 240mm AIO. Hope this helps! :)

Great setup for a top end Gaming rig...The only thing I would change is the CPU cooler as the 8700K will benifit from it as it runs just a tad hotter. Also the 8700K cries out for overclocking. You can get 4.8GHz all core overclock very easily with just a couple of Bios changes...I would go for a better Air Cooler, something in the noctua, Dark Rock Pro arena and a AIO would also do the job, even a decent 240mm AIO will work wonders on temps.

I have the Gigabyte Gaming 7 which is almost the same as the Gaming 5, just a couple of extras.. The board has been rock solid, allowing a 5GHz overclock but for 24/7, I have it at 4.9GHz on adaptive/Offset voltage with my non-dellided 8700K.

And as CRO5513Y mentioned, get some DDR4 3000 or even 3200 Memory.

As to the setup being overkill, if you can afford, then it is not overkill as it will last you a lot longer and will provide the best gaming experience all around. Go for it and enjoy...
