Yes you can.....and it looks like it might be the best performer.
As far as price/performance....there are loads of cpus for that board......so you will have to do a little research....but I see it going used for $160 on ebay.

Make sure you update your bios BEFORE putting the 3770 in there. You'll need a newer bios to run that CPU. And I said 3770 and not 3770K because you can't OC with the H61 chipset. So assuming any cost savings at all, get the 3770.
H61 Chipset is designed for the bottom end of Sandy Bridge CPU builds. It lacks the following features;
Native USB 3.0 ports
Native SATA III ports
RAID
They also have only two memory slots and a lower number of PCI-E Lanes and less USB 2.0 ports than other LGA 1155 socket Chipset motherboards. The i7-3770K would be the most powerful processor, but "k" model processors with unlocked multiplier will have no ability to overclock on that motherboard.
H61 is only recommended for users that can do without those features.
