Thank you for any advice I receive in advance! I truly appreciate it and send digital cookies your way.

First PSU had leaking capacitors and shorted one GPU initially. Replaced PSU and other GPU died. Eventually my Mobo/RAM/CPU wouldn't boot with or without the GPU.

Replaced Mobo, CPU and RAM and used an rma'd GPU and GPU died again. PC turns on and boots W10 and Ubuntu right now with the iGPU. Why would the GPU work for a short time with a new system and then fail instead of just not working at all?

Since I connected my new PSU to my old parts could that have torched it and carried over problems? Or perhaps just the GPU got damaged from having a short time with the old Mobo/CPU? I'm worried that my new parts are damaged from the old GPU.

Perhaps I just need a new GPU and I won't have any problems what do you think? And since I'm in the market I was considering a 1080 Ti however what about waiting for the new GPUs that may be announced?
