A few days ago I spilled water on my desk and some of it splashed off and into my top intake fan. The system shut down on its own and I took everything apart to air dry for a few days.

When I turned it back on, I got a flash and bright light from my gpu.

Because I love to make things worse, I took apart my gpu and found the short (it is not under warranty).

Anyway, is there anything I can do to save her or should I take her out back and bury her?

Oh and it’s an msi gtx 980

You could safe the card yes but you have to replace the dead components...
and they are not always cheap not to mention that they are tiny as ****

From time to time i have some gpus like this in my hand and even if im able to replace all the parts not all cards will work again.
