I currently have a Ryzen 1600 running on Asus Prime B350m-k motherboard with 2x8GB of ram installed. Once I installed windows and everything I noticed Windows was only utilizing 8gigs of ram instead of the whole 16. I checked in the bios and both the slots seemed to be detecting the ram but then again the 'Total Memory' in the bios was showing up as only around 8gb.

I'm wondering if my motherboard does not support Dual Channel?

The ram I have installed is ADATA XPG Z1 8gb DDR4

If anyone who is experienced with this can help me out, that would be great!

I tried setting up each ram sticks individually and both of them worked on either slots (A1, B1). Still I'm getting the same results, the bios is only using 8gigs of ram.

I tried seeing through CPU-Z and it says my Channel # is Dual. I'm kinda confused on how's that possible?

Have you tried clearing cmos / resetting bios to defaults?
Have you tried reflashing bios with the updated version?
I wonder if rolling back bios might fix the missing 8gbs in bios problem. goo dluck

This problem persisted even on the older bios version, so i updated the bios to the latest version in hopes of it fixing itself, but it didn't.

I also tried resetting the cmos both by shorting the pins and aswell as removing the cmos battery. No luck.
