Help with MSI Tomahawk mobo.!!

On first run I put memory 8gb patriot on first slot and my mobo MSI tomahawk refuse to start. I read on first start memory must be on second slot. What can be now, memory damage or mobo damage?

I don't understand what's happening. Is it a new build or it was working before?

As far as I understand what you are saying, if you have just one memory stick, you have to place it on one specified slot. It should be the second or the fourth slot, from left to right. Is that your problem?

It is a new build.
The instructions say that when new PC build memory must be in the DIMMA2 slot and not use the DIMMA1 slot because the DIMMA2 is connected to a CPU that regulates the working memory voltage.
