So I accidentally touched my GPU fan while it was running and now suddenly in every game my FPS is dramatically changed.. For example CSGO from 150 FPS at max to almost below 60 fps all the time, Minecraft with shaders was running at 130 fps now it cant even get 30! I am really scared that I have damaged the GPU really bad!
But well I installed ASUS GPU TweakII on my computer right as everything happened! So I thought it was the program because there was this overclock.. I reset to default clock speeds still the same result!

My PC specs:

i5-3470 3.2GHz

ASUS RX 550 2GB

8GB DDR3 RAM

Solution
Take a look at it while running any game so the GPU is full working. However nothing comes up to my mind if you really just touched the fan. Reinstalling drivers maybe but it is not relate to what you did

I just ran a FurMark GPU stresstest for 3 mins and the temps kept rising, but the rising slowed down at 66 degrees. Stress test for 3 mins gave me 67 degree max temperature.
What I noticed that the framerate of that stresstest was absolutley horrible!

An update, I looked for any updates on my drivers, and found that there is a new version. And now the problem just disappeared. I guess i didnt brake anything with the touch. Thank you, for your response!
