I picked up a used XFX R9 390x 8GB card and I was just curious if this cards runs hot. 94C is pretty hot for a GPU even at stock speeds. I even ran the fans at 100, and all my case fans (2 intake, 3 exhaust) at 100 and it still climbs up to 94C

Is there anything I can do to bring the temps down? I got good airflow, I just don't know what else to try.

Solution
Try replacing the thermal paste, I used Arctic MX-4. However, those cards are designed to go up to 95c before throttling, but the max.

Just make note where the thermal pads, if any, go and reuse them in the same places. You only want to replace the paste on the GPU.

A 390x is meant to run hot-my old Gigabyte r9 390 with its crappy cooling solution was hitting ~85c under heavy load but still 94c is a tad too high. As recommended perhaps replacing the thermal compound will help along with making sure the heatsink/fans are clear of dust and that theres adequate airflow through your case.
