I think my problem is down to a very common problem with fitting a new motherboard to an old case? Is that what this is?

So I installed a new motherboard and my button to turn on my fancy case lights fails to provide any light. The only cables I have left out from the case wires are the HD audio and CR cable which I assume is my case's card reader module.

JFP1 is full so is both JUSB1 and JUSB2.

Is it possible that my case lighting is powered by the card reader cable? I've tried the HD audio cable plugged in and the light still fails to come on when I press the light button on my case.

However there is a problem, I have no more spare USB ports on my new MSI motherboard for the card reader connector (4 pin). I only have a empty USB3 connector (JUSB3_2 (optional)).

Could I plug it in any of the other ports show on this picture below of my new motherboard.

This was the old motherboard on my Packard bell ixtreme i6525 UK. I have all the cables in the picture below. Card reader and audio is unplugged in my computer. Audio cable does not make the lights switch on when I press the button on my case. I haven't tried the card reader cable but I have no where to put it, unless you know otherwise?

TL;DR: I can't find any other cable from my case. The only ones left unplugged to the motherboard are the CR (card reader I think) and HD audio cable, the HD audio cable I tried and it does not power my case lights.

Thank you.

I have a new PSU too, all the hardware is new except for the case. I never connected wires from the PSU to wires from the case or vice versa if that is what you mean. Sorry if I misinterpreted what you said.

Thanks.
