Internet connection limited to 1-1.3MBps

Please help I have a 100Mbps connection but I only receive 1-1.3MBps(I got the "B"s right) I tried everything nothing seems to be working.When I run speed tests it shows 80 Mbps download(while connected to Ethernet) but when I download anything say from utorrent or steam or battle net or chrome literally everything is limited to 1MBps
Any help?

Also beware that some sites throttle downloads. If you have perfect gigabit fiber straight to the internet backbone, and the source of data throttles to 1Mbit/s, then 1Mbit/s is all you will get. Wouldn't it be nice if the other guy paid for gigabit and you only paid for 1Mbit/s and still got gigabit? Add to this the complication that a web site somewhere out in the wild probably has more than one person downloading...if the web site has gigabit and there are ten people downloading, then each can get only 100Mbit/s...if the web site paid for gigabit, and there are 1000 people downloading, then 1Mbit/s is all you'll get unless you can cheat one of the other downloads out of getting a fair share.

That is strange because speedtest is technically a file download. I would try microsoft and download a file via the web browser.

I would check that you do not have any form of limitations on your machine. Some of those silly network "gamer" nic applications cause strange issues like this.
